Some people only read classics, some people only read recent stuff, some read both. How about you?

I used to read only contemporary stuff, but I've been reading almost nothing but classics for the past year.

I don't read fiction very often, but when I do it's usually contemporary.

I only read books which have stood the test of time; I'm not really interested in the sort of paperbacks you can pick up in airports.

For some reason, I have never liked to read. I don't have the attention span for it, it seems.

some of the classical stuff is really boring--but you know, it's just as easy for me to be bored by non-classical things, so i guess its a split

I LOVE classics. But sometimes I need a contemporary book to break it up.

I kind of depends what I'm in the mood for. I try to read a lot of classics because if a story has survived for 100+ years, it must be good, right?
On the other hand a lot of contemporary stuff is great too. I just can't seem to put a Stephen King book down. So I like to mix it up, contempo-classic I call it.
