They've never been my cup of tea!

I used to read them, years ago, and on occasion I'd bring a nice vibe along for the journey with me

As of late, I have not read any, but one of my favorite writers was Christine Feehan (I believe that is how her name is spelled?) they were darker romance novels, and I read some non-published online stories as well!

As embarrassed as I am to admit this, I do like them. I haven't read one in years though. Hmmm maybe I need to pick one up.

I like erotic novels but not really into the romance ones.

I like novels with romance in them, but I haven't read a Harlequin-style romance novel in many, many years. They're just too formulaic.

I've read like two of them my whole life. They're all pretty much the same.

i go through phases where i read 2 or 3, then go a few months, then read 2 or 3 more. they are my favorite things to read. i love Jacquie D'Alessandro, Sabrina Jeffries, & Johanna Lindsay. my favorite by Johanna Lindsey is Hearts Afflame. but my favorite that i've ever read so far is One Night W/ You by Sophie Jordan. it's not even the very best that i've read, but it was still good. i just love going back to it & reading parts of it.

I've read them and I read them whenever I receive then from Edenfantasys. However, I read them more for the relationship aspect than the sex and to have some jack off material. I do not get excitement from them, I just like to read about silly little romances sometimes.

I used to, but I've found it difficult to find romance novels that go past traditional gender roles, which is a turnoff for me. Currently I fulfill my desire for romance/smut with fanfic.

I love them, I have read many of them. I always love getting to the sex scenes, they are always so hot, yet soft core! I do not masturbate to them but think about them to get horny, like watching a movie. One that I can think of that I really liked was White Passion Sleeps by Shirlee Busbee. Awesome one!

I have a hard time getting "into" the books...short stories, like the ones found on EF are more to my liking. But it has to be really "catchy" for me to bother reading more than the first few lines.

well I think I need to give ROmance Novels more of a try for their storyline..I accidentaly bought a romance novel from wal mart it was about vampires and I didnt raelize it was a romance novel until after I started reading it..I pretty much just skipped around to find sexy stuff..I havent reade any romance novels since I was younger but I wasn't caring for the story it seemed lame and tacky.

I don't do romance novels or romantic comedy movies. I think they build up unrealistic expectations in some people. I'm sure some people can read/watch them and keep their expectations for real life realistic, but they just do not appeal to me at all.

Nope, I'm not a particularly romantic person. I do read a lot of erotica though.

No. I'm more attracted to books like Crime and Punishment and Of Mice and Men. I get bored with romance novels.

Nope. I choose to live out my wild kinky fantasy not just read about it. I have a friend who is super addicted and can't figure out why her husband/life isn't that way. Put down the book dear and get naked - that might help for a first step. (Just in her case - not meaning to imply to any of the other folks who read them and enjoy them - just venting because she drives me nuts about the subject.

On the serious side though I have found they lead to more issues then the wild weird stuff I do because it's almost impossible to find the book passion/romance in reality unless you make it happen yourself.

I often read erotic fanfiction online, so I voted "other." I only use a toy half of the time.

I love a good novel with a heavy emphasis on romance....but I hate 'formula romance,' you know "He loves her but she hates him, she decides she does love him but he now couldn't care less, some big THING happens and they realize that they DO love each other".....Blech!
Give me a great story with some awesome romance and I am all over it though!

Erotic fictions are fun, but i find the "erotic/romance novel" are too slathered in sparkles and sweat.
