I love dubstep. I don't like how it's becoming more mainstream, along with the rest of the EDM genres. If you don't like it, you know, don't listen. Let me say this though. You haven't lived until you've been to a dubstep rave.

I'm not gonna try dubstep rave because i looked up dubstep remixes of my fave songs & all they do is add annoying boomboomboom sounds like what you'd get from an over-powered stereo

I like what I've been calling dubstep lite -- pop that has been remixed with some dubstep influences.

Well that's probably not real dubstep. That's like listening to techno remixes of pop songs and saying it's EDM. I guess you could say it is, but it doesn't give you a good idea of the genre. Listening to real DJs original work would give you a better idea of any EDM genre, be it dubstep or trance.

Most of the dubstep remixes of pop songs I've heard I don't like. Partially because I don't like the pop song to begin with and partially because the dubstep isn't all that great. So if that's what you've been listening to, it's no wonder you don't like it. lol

Beatport is a site that has a wide variety of dubstep artists. They range so much in technique and style that you'd have to play around to see what, if any, you liked. But don't write off the genre as a plague based on remixes!

PS: A dubstep rave wouldn't play remixes. At least not a real one. It would be a DJ playing their own stuff.

Is awful. Truly awful, in 95% of the cases I've heard. Rare mixes here and there that I have enjoyed and some electronica that borders onto dubstep. Otherwise, just not for me.

I like the Electronica with a bit of dubstep too.
