Anyone listen to EDM (Electronic Dance Music)? I've been into it for a few years. My favorite genre is happy hardcore, but I like all of it. HHC is my first love though.

WE DO! I recently got into it after I met hubby, who introduced me to all kinds of awesome music! I love the beat to EDM and you just can't get bored listening to it! It's great for long drives

Yup! That's all I listen to. Happy Hardcore messes with my migraines sadly, but I do like the beats. I listen to electro-house, house, trance, dubstep, etc. Anything with a beat I can dance to that doesn't give me a headache and I'm all over it! I literally don't even bother with other genres of music anymore. They're just not as good! The area I'm in has a crappy EDM scene though, so I'm stuck with what XM Radio gives me and what I can hunt down on Beatport and Soundcloud. I'm unfortunately not as up on new music as those who live in more EDM friendly areas. I'd kill to go to Ultra or EDC. One day!

oh man, i've gone to edc a few times. i guess there is good production and they bring some good artists (a lot of them over and over again) but it's the crowd that really ruins it for me! my last edc was in 08 and people started pushing and shoving while in line, etc. i'm glad i didn't continue to go after that. have you seen the video with the girls face bleeding from the crowd?

Crowds at fests in general really suck. We have one fest here that has an EDM tent (Le PLUR) and it gets a little crazy. It's not overstuffed like EDC is though, so no serious injuries yet.
I hadn't seen the video. I just listen to the audio stream on the radio/online. I try not to watch things that would ruin my ideal vision of EDC. LOL But that sounds horrible. I know that in many rock concerts people have been killed from getting trampled on when they oversell tickets and go over max capacity. I've heard EDC has done that a few times, thus why people are getting shoved and run over like crazy. That really sucks because EDM is supposed to be about unity and all that type of stuff. PLUR, you know? Not so PLUR to be stomping on fellow fest goers.

Been EDC fans for more than 15 years. It's been interesting to watch the genre evolve. We've even been able to see some headliner DJ's in person!

Sensation seems like a great party, I've seen the videos from years prior. I am just honestly not interested in events anymore unless they have uk hardcore headliners. There have been a few here lately but I haven't had the money to go.
I haven't gone to an event in 3.5 years, but I am trying to go to my friends desert charity event next month to help her cat get surgery.
