Having just watched the 'Best of the companions' retrospective yesterday, hubby and I discussed which of the companions are our favorites. He has it bad for Martha Jones, and I am torn between Amy Pond and Rose.

I liked Donna, she was different and Pond is pretty cool too but I have to say that I miss David Tennant.

I loved Donna too because there wasn't ever a romantic interest. She was just a good friend when the Doctor really needed one. I was so sad when she had to have her memories blocked

Donna as well, she was just so funny. Rose is second but there was too much of a whiny love thing going on. I dont even like the new doctor so the last season and half has been painful for me to watch.

I like Amy best among the companions. While I wouldn't be able to be in the same room as Donna for very long without getting intimidated in real life, I really respect that she never fell for the doctor, like alliegator says.
