My question is simple how do you feel about 3D TVs and other 3D technology.

To me 3D has always been a gimmick this latest resurgence in 3D stuff hasn’t changed my mind on that. If anything it pissed me off a little this time. When I was considering a tablet, it actually annoyed me when the G-slate was announced as having 3D cameras as it just sounded to me like “pay a ton more for features you will never use”. Also looking at wikipedia, if the article is accurate over 10% of people can’t even see 3d images correctly link

So that is my opinion, what is yours?

I dont like it. I took my sons to watch toy story 3, and it was playing in 3D. I had the biggest headach when we walked out of the theater. And if I remember history, this this the 3rd time they have tried to market 3D. I will just stick with my HDTV and bluray.

3D movies always end up giving me headaches, and don't really draw me into the story are more than 2D.

It's a fad. 3D TVs will eventually go the way of Betamax, LaserDisc, and HD-DVD.

I like the concept of 3D, but movies seem to force it on you. Within 10 years, those glasses people will have to wear will be gone, and you'll be able to see 3D just like watching a normal TV screen (well, those capable of seeing it anyway). Honestly, the only way I see 3D really improving anything I watch is with sports. 2D doesn't give a good representation of the games, especially the angle the ball/puck is going, and I imagine 3D helps with that.

I really am not interested in a 3d tv..
