Who saw Glee tonight? What did you think of Mercedes singing Whitney Houston's version of "I Will Always Love You"? Whitney Houston is my all time fav singer, & that is my all time fav song. I used to play it off of my parents "The Body Guard" sound track over & over & over when I was 5. Every time I've seen someone attempt to sing it, they never do it justice. It's one of those songs that most people I feel shouldn't try to tackle b/c no one could live up to the way Whitney did it. That being said, I though Mercedes did a phenomenal job & knocked it out of the park. She was no Whitney, but she was still incredibly amazing.

I really like Mercedes' cover. It seemed an almost spooky parallel to Jennifer Hudson's Grammy tribute, for all that it was filmed how long ago? Weeks?
