Has anyone seen FOOD INC documentary?

I recently seen this documentary and was pretty shocked at some of the info out there. Anyone else seen this & what were your thoughts on it? I loved that they did research on where our food comes from but it scares me a little to know how the big corporations are taking over. Just curious if anyone had seen this.

Yessss! Very good film but it really is scary. I've always been into all of that stuff but now I have switched to eating locally grown, organic and natural foods. The leg work that went into tracking down where the food comes from was pretty amazing.

I took a course on the economics and politics of the international food system as an undergrad and this was one of the three films we watched in the course. The other two were Mondovino and Our Daily Bread both of which are available on Netflix. I recommend seeing both if you're interested in the subject. It always interest me to see what we do as a society in the name of progress, especially as a relative outsider to the production system.

I have; I just found it depressing and had to stop watching midway through.

Yes, it is pretty shocking and has effected the way I think and purchase food. I try to eat much more locally grown food now and lately have been cooking nearly all my meals. Not an easy thing to do for a college student.
