In Theaters

Has anyone seen anything worth seeing in the theaters lately? I keep waiting for movies to hit DVD, but kind of want to catch one on screen lately, but nothing seems like it's really worth the cost anymore. The last few times I went I was fairly disappointed. What's your take?

The last movie I saw in theatres was Black Swan, which was a while ago. It was also really good. With Netflix available, we don't go to the theatres too much since we don't have much time anyway.

As for stuff out right now, I've heard good things about Hanna.

I take my boys to watch movies about 2 times a month. But they are all kids movies (g & pg). We have a movie pass that the PTA sells at my sons school. So it is only like $.80 a movie. I will not pay the $12 a person to go to the theater and watch a over hyped bad movie. I would rather wait until the come out on DVD. With that said, the last movie I watched was TRON. If I had paid more then the $.80, I would have been pissed.

Yeah, there's just nothing out. It's between Oscar season and summer. A definite lack of good movies are out.

I think the last movie I saw in theatres was Harry Potter 7P1, and that was like November.

SUCKER PUNCH.

Way underrated by a few stuck up people paid to say certain movies suck.

Go see it, even if just for the awesome special effects and fantastic soundtrack.

It doesn't seem like much on the surface, but if you put a little thought into it it's actually pretty deep.

(Also it helps if you've read/are familiar with Joseph Campbell's stuff, but it's not a necessity...)

We don't go to Theaters so I rarely pay attention to what is playing. We cant afford 50 bucks a pop (after tickets, food and gas) when we can download it for free!
