I make it no secret that I'am a huge L Frank Baum fan. I have the man's face tattooed on my arm. Yes...seriously. So with that said I get a little touchy when it comes to people doing anything "Oz" related beacuse the books were so good that you really don't need to stray from the path Baum already set forth. So when I do see a blatent train wreck waiting to happen with anything "Oz" in the title I get a tad bit ticked.
I'm sorry here, but I really can not see James Franco as The Wizard, or the Great and Powerful, or The wonderful, or what have you, seriously can't.
Does anybody else feel there are certain books, or etc. that just should not be touched unless there going to stick to what is already provided? I just feel like it's an insult to Baum's memory. The man practicaly killed himself writing these books. He deserves better then some cheap rip off of his life work.

I am so down with James Franco. I think he will do an amazing job in a crappy Disney version of a film that should be made by another film studio. The problem for me lies with Disney, not Franco. They will make it all sunny and la-di-da and not the Oz that Baum created. Lions Gate should be doing the movie! That would be a kick ass Wizard of Oz. less
