How do you keep track of where you are in a book?

Way back I did the dog-ears, then I switched to using bookmarks. Now I mostly just remember where I was.

usually a bookmark...sometimes I can't choose a bookmark so I just remember where I was

If it's got a dust jacket, I use that, otherwise, I usually just close it and try to remember where I was for next time.

I have a Kindle so it saves my place!

I usually use a sticky note or a spare piece of paper, what ever I have lying around.

My kindle saves my place. When I read a paper book I just fold the corner of the page. I always seem to lose bookmarks!

I have a very strong opinion about this

the BEST is those small magnetic bookmarks that fold over the top of your page. They never fall out, and if you clip them on a different page when reading, you won't lose them.

Most often a stray piece of paper, usually a receipt. Failing that, I just try to remember where I left off.

Usually just whatever random piece of paper I find lying around. Lately I've been using a dollar as a bookmark since I didn't have any other paper around when I was starting my book.

I use a bookmark or if it's a hardcover and I'm still in the beginning of it, I'll use the little flap on the dust jacket.
