I don't know.. Super Bass annoyed the hell out of me in the beginning but I like it better now. I don't love her guest appearances across the board and her voice is so squeaky.. but I think she's different. More power to her, that she's made it thus far.

I like her. I think she's beautiful and inventive, and I'm usually not a fan of rap (or at least not rap that gets played on the radio,) but I genuinely enjoy about half of her songs.

I wasn't terribly aware of her until Do The Creep, and because of that I love her by default. I still don't see her much, but whenever I do, I think she's pretty interesting. Love female rappers, too.

I voted "who?" after Goggling Ok I've heard her songs (It rather common for me to listen to a song many times before ever bothering to check who the artist is) and the answer now is "annoying mainstream ear worm", i.e. it starts with meh kind of catchy and after being stuck in your head for the days ends with raging hate.

To the original poster, how does your opinion of Nicki Minaj equate to "most female rappers RUINING the music"? Not sure why it's necessary to categorize "female" rappers as though their contributions to the scene are limited by their gender, but Nicki Minaj is a pop star above all else. She represents pop music, not hip hop, and her music is practically an after thought to her brand and image. If you want to break rap down into gendered categories and put it all in one woman's hands, try Lauryn Hill.
