For writing about such sexually controversial stuff, no one around here seems to know or care who this woman was. Anyone interested in reading a book that really gets a good debate going, read the omnibus of "Lilith's Brood". I'd like to know who would interbreed with an alien and who would hold out and stick to their own kind. The story is far more intriguing than that blip, but it definitely sparked discussion in my house!

I know nothing about this author or book... but I would not rule out have sex with aliens.

I love this author and have read everything she ever wrote along time ago. Started with the Patternmaster. It has been so long ago, that maybe it is time to reread her stuff. If you are into a combination of futuristic idealism bordering on science fiction. You will love this author. Known as Octavia E. Butler.

I am SO EXCITED to find this thread. I absolutely love Octavia Butler. The Lilith's Brood trilogy is amazing! My first exposure to Butler was reading an excerpt from Wild Seed in a Queer Theory class my first year of college.
