What are you guys favorite remakes of movies? Which are the one you hate the most?

Personally I don't have any favorite remake (originals are the best!), but I am hating the preview for the new footloose movie. Looks horrible!!

I agree with you orginals are just better. And the footloose movie preview sucks

I liked Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween, but I'm less than thrilled with the remakes of Dirty Dancing and Footloose. Two movies that took two awesome actors and made them infamous. You just can't touch that.

I cant get into the remakes very often. They just seem to forget about what made the original movie, and ruin it.

Remakes are hit and miss for me. I like some, but then others come along and I'm like, wait, why are we doing this?

They remade Dirty Dancing? or are you talking about the Havana Nights?

The only remakes from the top of my head that I prefer to the originals:

1) John Carpenter's "The Thing"
2) The 1970s version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (though the original is good as well)
3) Not a movie, but the Resident Evil video game remake for the Gamecube. Especially compared to the PS1 version.

I can't think of a single remake or "2" movie that was better than the original. I have friends that would argue Grease 2 but they're just insane.
