Ok, so I just watched this movie tonight. I had heard a lot of mixed reviews on the movie, lots of people hated it, lots of people liked it. So I had no high or low expectations tonight of this movie before watching it.

Suffice to say, I actually quite enjoyed this movie. While some of the script was very awkward, and seemed as if it was lacking. I'm kind of glad they didn't go over the top with with the special effects. But overall, a movie that was worth spending the time and money to watch. Hopefully if they make another one, it will be just as good.

it was above average. on the one hand the beginning was slow and given a few tweaks, could have been a feel good kids movie, or even the garfield movie.

malfoy will never get a non-villain role now an the action sequences weren't over the top, but weren't bring either. 7/10

I like chocolate!

Well I havent seen the new one. And I don't plan to. Just looked to weird/creepy. And I usually like weird and creepy stuff. Meh idk about this one. I did see the older version though.

i didn't like it at all. the original planet of the apes was just so freaking creepy, and this one in its own right was as well. not my kind of movie.

yes~~ now i remember, malfoy was in it! he was draco malfoy playing in a planet of the apes movie... his character was EXACTLY the same. same facial expressions, same cheesy lines... same way of spitting words out as if he loathed them. ah draco, forever a dick.

I saw it and I liked it. From the ending it seems like they will be making another one.

I'm not usually a fan of James Franco, but besides him I thought this was a great movie. It humanized the apes in a way that made me sympathetic to their plight. I was absolutely rooting for the apes.

There was too much CGI in this movie. The acting wasn't all that great, either. (Although James Franco has a great smile!) The apes looked fake, and I thought the way it was done was a little emotionally manipulative.

I don't like being manipulated by movies or TV shows.

I seen it and I "liked" it, though I voted "love" because there was no like option. Obviously it wasn't as good as the original, but it was still entertaining!

Haha yea after I made this I realized, some people would have liked but not loved it. Meh *prays for edit poll option*.

James Franco is a good actor, love how he plays a variety of rolls rather than the same style. He was funny in Pineapple Express!

I think it would have been a better movie if it wasnt called planet of the apes. I wouldve liked it better if it was trying to be its own thing and not part of an iconic series. Tim Burton failed at trying to be part of the series but this one a tad better. I liked the set up but I just didnt love the movie.

I actually agree with you on this. But this one was way better than the Mark Wahlberg version

By a long shot. I hate Tim Burton though. Like really really hate him. Hes so overrated. He used to be so good when he did his own stuff, now hes a complete joke.

Nah I havent seen it but im a huge movie fan and Ill check it out if your saying its worth a watch. I love Godiva dark.... I actually worked for their corp headquarters on a consulting basis and got the employee discount and some chocolate items that hadent been released to the public yet. I still have a friend or two over there but I doubt they can still get me the employee discount

I'm not a Planet of the Apes fan, so I don't plan on seeing it.
