Why does Syfy even bother making movies? Some of these are soooo bad. I was hoping for a good horror movie tonight and this Children of the Corn 2009 remake was a disaster! Some can make me laugh though at how hideously corny they are. Especially ones starring washed up singers like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany.

I'm with you there. Okay, sometimes their movies are okay - I seem to remember liking something called Tin Man - but generally they try to make big budget looking movies on very low budgets, and I just don't think it works.

Most of them are awful, but so awful they're hilarious. My recent favorites are Sharktopus (half shark, half octopus) which had me rolling every time it was on screen, and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (who can't love a movie where the big shark leaps into the air high enough to take down an airliner?) We definitely don't watch them for a scare, but for laughs there's almost nothing better

Have you noticed how they keep re-doing the old "classic" horror films.
This is the third release of "The Thing". They redid Godzilla a couple of times. They have also remade many of the other types of movies, mostly with bad results.

I love movies in the sci fi genre, but most of them are bad or terrible. But some are my favorite movies are sci fi. Some of my favorite shows are from sci fi.

I've never seen their movies, but I have a friend who loves bad movies, the worse the better. Might need to point her in this direction.

I assume you mean the science fiction channel "SyFy" and not the actual science fiction genre. I remember that most of them were pretty bad, but I only had them back when they spelled Sci-Fi right

I get watching a movie because it's so bad...but it's a bad movie, why watch it?
I wish they'd quit and just make better TV shows or pick up canceled shows from other networks.
