Teen Mom "Sex Tape"- Pretty painful to watch

Contributor: ShadowedSeductress ShadowedSeductress
I'm 20 and was right around 16-17 when 16 and Pregnant came around and soon after Teen Mom. I admit, I have watched it because it was entertaining.

I wasn't too surprised to hear about a sex tape from Farrah Abraham from the original 16 and Pregnant season. I was amused then horrified when I found out it was really a planned porno with James Deen. I am a self proclaimed "Deenager" and he is the only male porn star I actually like. I follow his blog as well!

Of course I was curious. I came across it on youporn and watched it. Oh my god it's so painful to see! She's very awkward, keeps calling him baby, and even called him boyfriend at one point. She uses a super annoying baby voice throughout the entire thing...

I heard that she tried to get them to pretend that they were dating, which would explain her calling him boyfriend.

So if you want to watch it for free: link

I think the whole idea is pretty sad. There is a whole generation of younger girls that watched the show and then having her make a porn is really telling them the wrong message. I wish these girls would consider the impact this 'instant fame' will have on the rest of their lives and their child prior to doing this. If this is what she wanted out of life--she should not have been on a show that is trying to send out a message of the reality of children in a teen's life.

I agree completely. I think that's what made it so hard to watch for me. She was on this show to be some sort of role model (at least that's what they tried to convey) and to turn around and make a porn movie is mind blowing to me. There were 13-14 year olds watching, other pregnant teens watching.

It's really hard for me to approach this subject as someone who watches porn, and is a fan of James Deen. It's not as if I think the porn thing is wrong, just that she was supposed to be some sort of role model for young people and that's not the message I'd want my children to receive.

Just another reason not to watch and encourage reality programming.

Well said, Js250! I could not agree more.

I really don't know any of those people mentioned, the Farrah girl or the Deen man, but I have heard of Teen Mom or the 16 & Pregnant show. I think the pornography film of pregnant teen (or the girl who's known as the teen mom) in a glamorous light is a negative thing and it does send bad messages to young girls who are, for whatever reason, sitting at home at night watching teen mom shows. However, I dp think the show probably does not put the whole teen mom thing in a glamorous light, as I'm sure watching their lives is not actually that glamorous looking, but for some reason, teens have certainly loved the idea of being one of those moms -- I've heard it myself from girls. I guess it's probably the fame. Being on TV with all your drama for the world to see, getting famous for getting pregnant -- that's probably the thing these girls are looking at & seeing it as a nice, quick way to get famous.

I don't know, I won't be going to watch the pornography made on them, but to me, this whole ordeal just sounds like a bunch of gossipy, waste-of-time drama. Certainly not something to be promoted and praised.

I watched this, as it was something i was excited to watch and talk about later with my partner. honestly, aside from being extremely tame compared to some of Deen's other roles, it wasn't bad. The only thing that made me feel a little uncomfortable was her dagger stare when she locked eyes with the camera for an extended amount of time. It was something both my partner and i watched, and got off too; talking about it afterwards.
While teen mom has been mocked and ridiculed, as well as Farrah's choice to become part of the porn industry, i dont' see how it's hurting children. What IS hurting our youth is the lack of sex ed in schools and parents talking to their children at a young age about their sexuality, urges, and safe sex.
A lot of people are opposing Farrah's decision to help herself and her family by making a choice to go into sex work where we would be able to make a steady income and provide for her child. It's something i find the least but problematic, as many in the sex work industry are doing the same - the only difference is she happened to have been on a reality TV show for MTV. Which is another thing many should keep in mind when it comes to her character on the show as well, since shows like that are done over many, many hours and then cut and edited to make a person look a certain way to ensure more views.
Again i dont find the problem being in this show, or this woman's choice in working in the sex industry, but in the lack of public education regarding sex, stigmas/laws against a woman's right to choose, and the lack of parent participation when it comes to teaching our children about safe sex.

I agree with your point. I have always felt that media based role models were often very unhealthy when compared to lesser known people who have accomplished great things... but it all comes down to access.

I have no problem with women choosing to go into the sex industry as a career, I have cammed myself for fun and tips, but I do feel that as a person used by a TV show to portray some of the aspects of being a 'teen mom' and with the show's messages about safe sex, relationship and drug advice, prevention, etc. that she should have been more circumspect in her career decisions.

I love watching porn and getting off to it, that was not my issue either. I agree that sex education needs to be more prevalent, but until it is--there are 'reality' shows that use messages and teen parents to try to convey a message of sorts.

It can hurt the children that watch this with older siblings or a babysitter and who do not have any education sexually as to figure out that getting pregnant while in school is a harsh lifestyle, but also limits your future potential.

I found it awkward and kind of sad. Sad because the media frenzy that is going to ensue (I've already seen it on the cover of some magazines). The media is ruthless. Regardless of what I think (more power to her if she can pull it off), it's how she feels when reporters and hecklers really start to harass her.

this is why watching shows, such as teen mom, with children and explaining to them the importance of having safe sex and such.
While her career choice nay have not been the best, after coming form a show that apparently promotes safe sex and relationship/dug abuse, etc - although my thought when it comes to any sort of reality TV program is really to exploit the participants of said show - still it was her choice to do so, and should not be scrutinized for doing so.

Let me just be honest: She doesn't deserve to be famous. Big whoop, your body can reproduce like a lot of bodies. How is that special? By that logic I should be on a reality show for my ability to grow hair or walk. YOUNG ADULTS WHO CAN WALK: AN EXCITING SLICE OF REALITY. No thanks.

I really have no desire to watch the video but just at the title I thought "Publicity stunt! Attention whore!" and when I read it was Farrah who made it I was like yep definitely.

I wouldn't consider Farrah a role model before this and I think anyone looking to a MTV reality show for a good role model is probably deluded.

BTW none of these reality show people deserve to be famous. The TV and entertainment industry isn't about giving fame to the people who deserve it, it's about watching a good trainwreck or giving people what they want to see for entertainment. I don't see any other Mother Teresa's on the red carpet.

And here's another example of MTV building up another horrible role model.

It's MTV, so I'm not at all surprised. But it is discouraging. Obviously it's not behavior worth looking up to, but I also don't even think it's worth spending any time thinking about it.

I watched it recently but had to skip through alot of the dialogue as I was cringing for them!

I'm usually a fan of James Deen scenes but even he couldn't save it. Very stiff (excuse the pun) and there was a strange dynamic between the two as she spoke in quite a condescending tone to him and they pretended to know each other.

The sex was really quite boring and robotic on her part. It was worse than I could have imagined.
