Just saw this movie. As much as I was expecting to hate it, I loved it. Grew up with them and found the whole essence of the show the "good parts" of the original Muppets with some new charm. It doesn't try to be what it isn't. Rotten Tomatoes agrees with me.

Anyone else see this and have opinions on it?

have not seen it, but i was terrified it would be terrible. From what I've heard it's quite good, but I'm going to wait to see for myself.

It was Ok. I went and saw it with the kids, but I'm not a fan of musicals so my opinion might not be the best.

One of my friends reviewed it at Scared Stiff Reviews ... she's also an old school fan of the Muppets and she was impressed with how it was handled. Even her husband, who is a Muppet expert and didn't expect it to be any good, said it was perfectly fine.

I guess after the last couple of 'movies' made exclusively by Disney ('Muppets from Space', 'The Muppet Wizard of Oz', etc), it seemed Jim's legacy was dead and we expected more of the same. I'm glad it isn't, although Jim's distinctive touch will always be dearly missed.

I love the Muppets.
I really really want to see the new movie.
Sadly, my boyfriend hates Jim Henson's creations.

i love the muppets, but am very, very hesitant to see the movie. i may wait till it's out on netflix to see it.
