I was just wondering which cartoon show do you prefer The Simpsons or South Park. Both shows are supposed to be considered adult shows all though The Simpsons is more children friendly and South Park pushes the limit on some plots/story lines. So I was wondering which show do you prefer or do you like them both the same or do you dislike both of them.

I love both shows but South Park is by far my favorite. There is not one South Park episode that I hate or find boring. I have seen every single episode to date multiple times. I have lost count on how many times I have watched the South Park movie and listened to the South Park's movie soundtrack.

I've never been able to get into South Park. The Simpsons was once a great, funny show, but that time has long since passed. The only animated shows I watch are Family Guy and Archer, but I don't make a point of catching all episodes.

I feel South Park is geared more toward the older people while the Simpsons are for the younger. I used to love the Simpsons until I had gotten older then it was all about the South Park.

I like them both. I do love how the Simpsons sneak in some obscure references to movies, like Clockwork Orange. South Park has kind of lost it the past few years, although the Shake Weight episode was classic.

I like the Simpsons but it isn't edgy enough for me. Recent seasons also seem like pale comparisons to the show's earlier days. South Park can be hit or miss but each season will always have an episode or two that will wow me.

I'll second that! I have to be in the right frame of mind to think South Park is funny or to even be able to understand what they are saying; or at least have a beer or two -- I'm a lightweight.

I still like the Simpsons, but I'd never actually sit down and watch it specifically. Well, I don't put on ANY television specifically. But still. If Simpsons was on while I was passing through the living room, I might stop to watch a bit. If it was South Park, I definitely wouldn't.

Ditto. I thought it was the most retarded show on planet earth and couldn't understand why all of my friends were in love with it. I was pretty sure they were just all in love with toilet humor. Well now that I am old enough to really get the celebrity and social criticism I think it is hysterical. All my friends grew up and out of toilet humor, I grew up and into it. I also absolutely love Futurama but want to throw my tv in the garbage every time an episode of Family guy comes on. Fry is adorable, Peter makes me want to muff punch his mom.

Simpsons hands down for me. Ya sure, they both push the edge on things, and while the Simpsons might not always be the most tasteful about it, South Park just goes all out and I'm not a huge fan of that.

I'd watch Futurama over either any day of the week.
