For me it is most definitely TV shows. The last cartoon type of show I remember ever watching and enjoying was Daria.

I categorize anime and cartoons together (animation from all nations, yo!), and I generally find them to be more enjoyable than live-action shows. It all depends on what the show itself is about, though, and whether it's live-action or animated doesn't really matter if the content is good.
