I love that song - I had it on a CD or two before they used it for the series

I think a lot of the 70s and 80s theme songs are memorable, too - I always liked the one from The Jeffersons.

Yes, Barney Miller, Jeffersons, The Courtship of Eddies Father, Hogans Heroes, Mash, Star trek, Space 1999, WKRP, Mary Tyler Moore. Hell, even Partridge family was ok.
1970s rocked.

I have the "Buck Rogers" theme as an earworm this week because C had me watch the spoof they did of it on "South Park".

Never cared much for the show, but I loved the theme to the "Highlander" TV series (of course, since "Princes of the Universe" was done by the incomparable Queen).
