I just saw this and wasn't impressed. It seemed overly cute, formulaic and forced. each character had their part and nothing more, they weren't real people, but bit characters to interact with matt damon's character. there was one character who was shown two times and then she appeared trying to cause trouble, before failing and leaving. matt damon's daughter character was just there to say pithy one liners, the son was there to angst, elle fanning was there to be in love with the son character, for no reason. there was no sense that any of them were anything more than bit characters to move things along. Maybe I'm jaded, what did everyone else think?
