Horror movies are just peachy :3

I like them sometimes. I don't watch them alone.

It depends really. I used to love them and watched every one I could but these days I think they're lacking. Most are remakes. Some are good and some are really, really bad.

I am so picky with my horror movies. I like things like The Exorcist, Poltergeist, 1408, Jaws, etc.
It needs to have really solid dialogue, a good plot, and a good director. There are plenty of scary movies that I probably won't ever watch again that I still can say I enjoyed, because it was still good work. The Ring, for instance. That movie horrifies me, but I still consider it excellent. The ones I truly enjoy are the movies that scare me, but still make me want to watch it, like a roller coaster. Scary, but oh so much fun. So I would say I'm much more a dark thriller fan, but there are many horror movies that I would say fit that description.
I also love love love thriller/horror movies that terrify you without a monster. The Hitcher, for instance. Rutger Hauer managed to make me horny and horrified all at the same time. And I don't recall a single zombie virus.
If it's just gory and there are people chasing other people around with chainsaws, it's not my thing.

I like bad horror movies, or the cheesy ones from the 80s.
01/17/2013
Some are ok, but I don't go gaga over them
01/17/2013
take it or leave it

Are we talking horror or gore? I HATE movies with an exceeding amount of gore and really I only like monster/paranormal horror films or suspense horror.

I love them!

I love them! Especially if they're really bad!

I have similar preference also. I stay away from movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacres, all they portray are blood and gore, I don't even consider them as genuine horror films.

I just watched the trailer for "Evil Dead" and was hoping it would be good but I wasn't all that impressed with it to be honest. I think I just prefer the more humor-filled version.

I like horror movies but there are ones that I won't bother watching. Excessive amounts of blood and gore are some reasons I may not want to see something.

I like them sometimes, but the thing is that I hate jump scares. To me, that's lazy writing. Anyone can be startled with something unexpected. The good stories are the ones that scare you with a creepy atmosphere and great story, not something just appearing. Take, for instance, the *original* House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. Truly creepy without anything jumping out at you. 1408 was also good (it still had jump scares, but not too many).

My imagination runs too wild for horror movies to be a healthy choice.

i only watch my kind of horror movies not every single one that was ever made.

I'm picky about my horror movies. Prometheus and the Alien series are my favorites, but they're arguably more sci-fi than horror.

I hate horror movies. The last horror movie I went to see was the newest Nightmare on Elm Street because it was filmed at local schools so I thought it would be fun to see. I was wrong haha
