My all time favorite are the Christopher Pike Last Vampire series. That being said I also love Bram Stoker, Anne Rice and Laurel K Hamilton. I'm not a Twilight gal though. I do try to keep an open mind with new fantasy authors as well.

I enjoy vampire stories right across the range but there should be blood and there should be sex. Vampires are primal and visceral creatures and there's nothing more visceral and primal than blood, sex and some scary violence.

NONE! I despise the vamp stuff. Lol. I am the kind of person who gets really turned off about a hyped up book, product or anything. Dunno what it is, but it seems it makes me less likely to give something a try. Plus the whole vampire thing is really... not interesting to me at all. I ain't following this particular trend for some reason. My mom loves that damn true blood mess. It drives me insane. Lol

I love Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. They are my favorite vamp stories of all time She's also one of my favorite authors. I'm reading her latest book next.
