Which movie series is your favorite overall and why? This means looking at all of the sequels/prequels that have come out of the series and taking this into account as well.

I love the Young and Dangerous series, from Hong Kong. The prequels and sequels have been pretty good, but there's one prequel I haven't seen yet.

The Thin Man with William Powell and Myrna Loy ...

Well, the last one - Song of the Thin Man - was rather contrived, but the redeeming line was "If this party gets any more respectable, we'll have to get you a bullet-proof girdle."

We love that series too, I think we've seen all of them, unless there's something new? We're not very up-to-date on Chinese movies after moving away from the Bay Area.

Well there's movies one through six, The Legendary Tai Fei, Portland Street Blues, the Prequel, Once Upon A Time In Triad Society, and Those Were The Days, Well actually, there's three prequels I haven't seen, the last three I listed. Have you seen them? And are they good?

Uh... Lonesome Dove? I'm kind of clueless in general, so I hope that a miniseries counts as a movie series.

Overall, I'd say James Bond. I like the Star Trek Series too, but only the ones with the original crew and the new one.

This Is England.

Well, it's a movie and two miniseries, but I think it counts. Stunning acting from the entire cast.

I guess I don't really have a favorite. But, I'm shocked as hell no one has said Harry Potter, yet.

For movies id have to say the Bourne Trilogy (I heard that number 4 is coming out soon) Jason Bourne is this decade's James Bond.
For TV series Id have to say the old Shogun mini-series. from like back in the 80's with Richard Chamberland. 10 hours of awsome

Its got to be an even split between Harry Potter, Star Wars and The Lord of The Rings. As far as a collection of movies I would go with the recent Masterpiece Theatre's Jane Austen adaptations.
