Does anyone go to concerts regularly (at least once a month)? How about going to music festivals?

No. I can't afford to be buying tickets for concerts. Then drinks. And food. $8 a beer is a racket.

Everyone I know IRL is laid off or working menial jobs and barely getting by.

lol The last concerts I went to were my boys - one sings the other plays the trombone.

It's been a really really long time since I went to a real concert we're talking United We Stand in Washington DC after 9 11. Got three kids concerts aren't all that important.

Ditto. it is not cheap to even go to festivals here.

I am going to see Bon Jovi In May with friends. Tickets went on sale today and my friend got them first thing this morning.

The surcharges alone piss me off that I don't even think about purchasing special event tickets.

Have fun at the show, I hear he still rocks it like it's 1988!

Blink-182 when they toured last year. I'm not too into them, but my husband at the time was a huge fan, and since they had been broken up for years and were kind of doing a reunion tour kinda thing, we had to go. It was fun. Fall Out Boy (bleh) and Panic at the Disco (less bleh, but still bleh) were also there.

My favorite concert was a Korn one in 2007 for the Family Values tour. They were awesome, and the Deftones and Stonesour were there, too. And about 10 other bands that I didn't know, but they all sucked anyway.

I'm glad a lot of concerts and festivals around here are free.

The last "concert" that I can remember seeing was probably 5 years ago and it was Sounds of the Underground: Opeth, Gwar, SYL, Devon Townsend, Lamb of God, Clutch and some others. It was a great show. Since then I have only been to a few small venues. The last was my kids Christmas concert.

I've been to musical events, sure, but I've only ever been to one concert. A proper one, that is. It was Hayley Westernra.

I'm not a huge fan of country music, but my man's mother was able to drag me to a Brad Paisley concert ONLY because Darius Rucker (Hootie!)was opening for him.

That was the most recent, and I haven't been to that many. I have seen Creed in concert twice, Aerosmith with Kiss, Papa Roach with Hinder and Buck Cherry, and Evan Essence. I've seen some others over the years at free concerts, but the above listed are the ones I actually paid to see.

Radio station sponsored concert. Rob Zombie was there along with others, can't remember who else. Drowning Pool was supposed to be there, but that was right when the lead singers death so they didn't show. I did see Nickleback (free at fair) a few years ago, but I wouldn't call that a concert

Would love to see Kiss again, last time I saw them was '01 I think. Next time AC/DC come close to us, I am going to go. Was laid off or just got a new job when they were here last time, and tickets were $100 couldn't justify them
