Music to have sex to...

Contributor: Essin' Em Essin' Em
I've been think about this a lot lately (I sense a blog post coming on...), but lots of people like to listen to music while getting down. Some like the slower, others the techno, etc. What are your top 3 sex songs?

Mine are:
The Dark of the Matinee - Franz Ferdinand
E-Pro - Beck
and of course:
Closer - Nine Inch Nails

And you, oh sexy EF perverts?

Er, throwing a damp log on the fire, I did once read that Dave Navarrow thinks of Diamanda Galas as 'sex music' and now I can't listen to her without thinking of that.

Diamanda Galas sounds a little like a bag of fighting cats, sometimes, and other times, a little like a late 1800s opera singer.

I don't really have music I listen to, sorry. :/ I just have music that reminds me of sex.

NIN and believe it or not MSI. To each their own
Honestly though, it's mostly our box fan because we tend to have sex right before falling asleep.

I can honestly say I have never had sex with music on before. Don't know why. Could be fun. And now of course, whenever I listen to my husband's music and The Dark of the Matinee comes on (he likes Franz Ferdinand), I'll think of sex.

A boyfriend from my past insisted on playing Eminem during sex, and I've stayed away from all music during sex since leaving that relationship. lol It was a total mood killer for me, and now I just prefer listening to the sounds of my lover instead.

One time my husband and I had sex to the Misfits. It was actually really cool, made me feel like a rebel!

I tend towards old school:

Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye
Closer by NIN
and strangely enough, I Am The Walrus by the Beatles (my husband gets all worked up when that song is on!)

NIN, Tool, A Perfect Circle ...

I have some remixes on my computer that I randomly collect include a cirque du soleil combination.

Hmmm . . . Combichrist is always good (I'm especially fond of 'This Sh*t will F*ck You Up'). We lost our virginity to Eminem, so I have a soft spot for that. I also like System of a Down, Serj Tankian, and Enigma.

I know this is quite a late reply, but i am new, and i would like to make a comment.

I myself am a romantic jazz fan. I think there is nothing better than a Romantic Tenor Sax while you are making love. That is just my thoughts on the subject.

I suppose not every session requires the same romantic stuff though.

Viktor - welcome. I'm a jazz man myself. What titles do you recommend?

I tend to fins music a little distracting, but maybe I'm just not listening to the right stuff. My guy tends to put on Kings of Leon or The Spill Canvas, but just to cover up our noise.

BDSM is usually my thing, so I'd have to say anything with Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie. I kinda have been enjoying "I get off" by Halestorm lately as well.

I do hope I am allowed to post this link Summer Time Jazz. I like listening to the XM radio channel "Water color Jazz", I think it is mostly contemporary Jazz. I am a big fan of a haunting song played on the Tenor, for example the song "Safe Sax" Safe Sax

Now My favorite band is, The Mars Volta, and they have some nice Sax in their albums. I just do not know If I would listen to them at intimate moments. They are wild, and a downer sometimes :p

Anyway my point is about the Mars Volta, They have a song called "Faminepulse" that has a great sax work in it.

My age shows, but I can't but bump Roxy Music's Avalon for a good half hour or so of mild sonic bliss. Even without a bong.

Angels Unawares by John Coleman

Havana Moon by Jazeboo (if I want something more soothing)

I have my top four right here:
1. Janet Jackson - Rope Burn
2. Janet Jackson - Anything
3. Sade - No Ordinary Love
4. Sade - The Sweetest Taboo

I used to date a guy who would have stuff like Aerosmith, The Eagles, and other oldies playing while we had sex. Mainly it was to disguise any noises, but still. I prefer the stuff I play.

I couldn't care less, as long as it isn't really distracting music.
