I've gotten a handful of 'somewhat useful' reviews from one particular person. It really irks me! I take A LOT of pride in my reviews, they take me hours each one I write!!! (I am slow maybe) I take pictures and I try to think of what questions the readers might have...

But recently I got all these 'somewhat useful' reviews and it had bummed me out to the point of not wanting to do as good of a job on the reviews, or not excited to write them at all.

Why does it effect me sooo much? Does it bug you to?

If it's one person all the time, you can politely ask what you need to do to improve. See what they say.

Don't do this. Contributor Harassment is something you can be contacted to by the administration. We were told not even to ask politely.

The thing is that voting is subjective. So, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you don't want to say that EVERYONE'S reviews are awesome, then we have to respect that everyone has their own opinion.

I get the random somewhat useful and below vote too. It really doesn't matter what you do to your reviews, someone comes by and down votes it. Don't pay attention to them anymore. That is all you can do. I completely ignore those votes and if the person leaves a comment too. Unless they asked me questions, then that is a reason for the down vote, but usually there are no questions.

It really irks me when the review is obviously useful or extremely useful and people still vote low.

I agree. I usually Just try harder next time and if they still don't like it oh well. there will be plenty others who do. Smile on dear.

Only time it bothers me a little is when I have gave EVERY detail possible. When I first started my reviews here and on my blog they were very plain, over the year of blogging my reviews have gotten better an my reviews here have gotten better. Just take it with a grain of salt and move forward

I find it annoying when someone doesn't explain what I could improve. If I'm not being helpful, I'd like to know how to be more helpful.
