#TrueorFalse

Contributor: Stellar Stellar
Hello, my Wonderful Community! I hope all of you are having Happy Holidays.
Hereby we have yet another fascinating fact that is really vital during holiday feasts. It is now open for discussion, do you think THIS to be true or false?

The taste of semen is affected by foods and beverages.

I must say that I have obviously noticed some differences in taste, but I have never seen a correlation with recently eaten food. I don't know what scientifically has the effect, but I like to believe that with not drinking and not smoking improves everything, even the taste of semen.

There's usually a slight slight variation in taste some days, but can't confirm that it corresponds with food or drink. Everyone knows the myth that pineapple juice makes it sweeter, but I've never met a man who just drank pineapple juice for fun.

I'm not sure on this one. I have noticed slight variations in taste but not sure if it's my taste buds, something I ate that is affecting the taste, or the semen.

I mean, it's pretty well-known that diabetics have sweeter semen (hello, maple syrup jokes), so I'd imagine that at the very least, your glucose levels affect the taste of your semen. But in those able to regulate their sugar levels, I'd imagine that the effect would be short-lived due to homeostatic correction.

I have asked my wife bout this before and she just said it tastes salty. She even said she had heard it may taste like whatever the male eats but wasn't sure how true it was

Pineapple is high in bromelin. Bromelin is anti-inflammatory. I use it in my super smoothie concoction. Kale, strawberries, blueberries, yogart, and pineapple. I add a little water but no ice.
here's a link to bromelain's benefits. Good for overuse issues and arthritis.

Sorry, not on topic, but wanted to share about benefits of pineapple.

My vote is TRUE. Oh, and BlackOrchid, its nice to meet you! I'm the guy who drinks pineapple juice not for fun but because sometimes you want something a little different. I was unaware of any potential health benefits till now.

For the record, I also drink apple, orange, cranberry (on occasion) grape (both white and purple) juice and hard cider.

I'm pretty sure it's fact. When my boyfriend eats things high in sodium his semen tastes very salty. When he tones down the sodium and eats more fruits and such his semen tastes sweeter.

I guess I just never came across any men that drink a lot of juice. Mine prefers iced tea. I've heard pomegranate juice is a good choice for men. It can improve ED!

So it is time to make a decision, my friends!
Here's what I found on a trustworthy source, but, as you can see, the author isn't sure, too. Here's the full text.

"These supposedly make semen taste better - and seem to be things that are Good For You in general:

Fruit, especially citrus like oranges and grapefruit and pineapple. Also listed are bananas and papayas.
Vegetables (debatable as veggies with strong tastes like asparagus might not help)
Certain spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, peppermint and lemon
Parsley, wheatgrass, and celery are particularly recommended for sweeter semen taste, supposedly because of their high chlorophyll content. (Curious about this one, myself)
These supposedly make semen taste worse/bitter – also things that might be Bad for You in general:

Caffeine
Cigarettes
Recreational drugs (specifics weren’t given)
Preservatives found in junk food
Strong tasting foods such as onions or garlic
Red meat (some websites say vegetarians have better tasting semen)"

As you are talking about pineapple, and @surreptitious have kindly mentioned a medical fact that does not, however, explain the relationship between semen's taste and diet, I propose declaring this one not really true and not really false, but PLAUSIBLE.

What do you think?

I would say it is true. When there is alcohol in his system it definitely tastes worse, more bitter.
