I just read articles on Yahoo and on TMZ --- Jani Lane, lead singer for Warrant, was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday morning. Initial reports are claiming that alcohol and pills were found near his body. He struggled with alcohol addiction for years. He will be sadly missed in the music community and my heart goes out to his children, wife and friends. He was 47.

What's your favorite memory involving the song Cherry Pie? Do you remember the first time you saw the video? Anything else about Warrant you would like to share?

Yeah, just another reminder that we all have an expiration date. He's only a year older than my husband and the thought just terrifies me, even though I know we don't live like Jani did.

I don't know much about his past, but I'm guessing there was something involved other than natural causes. Still so sad and so young.

He was arrested twice in 2010 for DUI charges. Supporting band members say that he had suffered from alcohol addiction for years, but no word on other drugs he may have used heavily. It's just...sad.

I think "Cherry Pie" was one of the last, if not the last, hair band song.

I would agree with that, and it was one of the most successful. I had completely forgotten that Warrant also did "Heaven".
