I get nervous every time I have to go to the dentist, even if it is just for a cleaning. I can't stand the thought of them being in my mouth. Then they shoot that water and I feel like I'm going to drown! I absolutely dread it every 6 months. Obviously a oncologist could terrify anyone but other than that is there any type of doctor that makes you nervous?

Rheumatologist--I have rheumatoid arthritis and the one I just saw wants to operate on my hands!!! Hell no!

All of them make me nervous. None of them ever have something good to tell you! If they did, why the hell would you be there in the first place. I don't need somebody to confirm the fact that I'm sick by making it sound worse with there fancy doctor words! Besides, Mylanta fixes everything!

I don't get nervous with doctors, dentists, etc. I might get nervous about results/tests/impendin g surgeries/etc. like most people would but the actual person doesn't bother me.

Dentists terrify me. I grew up with a terrible dentist. After the incredibly botched root canal he gave me, I quit going for a few years. Now, I have a different dentist who prescribes me medication to take before I go to relax me. She's lovely, but she still scares me without the meds.

I actually don't mind dentists...I had lots of work done (and not to mention braces for WAY too long), I feel like I have spent years of my life in the doctor's chair!
I have been thinking of seeing a psychiatrist / psychologist, but I admit I'm very scared about that.

I have pretty bad OB/GYN anxiety, including having an absolute meltdown in the office once, though that was soon after I had been assaulted. I hate having my genitals poked at by strangers, and I hate having my body on display.

Male GYN's. The ones I've been forced to accept have no concept that the vagina does not have the elasticity of a balloon when not giving birth. And their accents are as thick as mud, so I don't understand them when they're mumbling into my vagina. XP
