Whenever I'm at the grocery store I always try to pick out a new thing that I've never tried before. At restaurants I'll usually stick with what I know is good. Sometimes I will try something else if I'm feeling spontaneous or whatever. But I make someone else order something I like so I can eat off their plate if I don't like my adventurous dish.

I always like trying something new on a menu, always have. Love especially ethnic food though lately have to keep the spices down to a minimum. Still Japanese Sashimi/Sushi and Mexican cuisine are my favorites.

The only exception is when I crave a particular thing from a particular restaurant.
At a new restaurant, I'm likely to try whatever I've never heard of before!

It's tough. I will sometimes try new things, but most of the time I go to the restaurant because I like a specific thing they have and I don't make it at home...so of course I want to order that!

Since we go out so seldom, I'm usually up for finding something interesting on the menu. I know what things I like, and I love love love to cook, and I'm always picking up new foods, styles, and ideas from my chef BFF. Eating is now a huge experience for me, so I like to challenge myself when I go out. But, sometimes that means going with a guaranteed favorite, and appreciating how it is being done in that specific instance.

It depends. There are times when my husband and I go out to try new foods that are not very common where we live. I love trying regional foods when we travel and have had some....interesting dinners. Some were great and others, well, uuuggghhhhh!!!

I love trying new things, but I don't go out as much as I used to. So I tend to stick with what I already like most of the time.

It depends what the restaurant is, but unless I have a die-hard favorite at a particular restaurant, I will try something new. My best discovery was seafood at a local Mexican restaurant - to die for!

It all depends on the type of restaurant. If I am paying alot of money, I will stick with something that I know I will enjoy eating. Other family style restaurants, I will try something new if it looks like I might enjoy it.

Unless I've tried a bunch of things at a particular restaurant, i'll order something new unless I have a favorite, then i'll just order my favorite thing. For instance I've tried lots of things at panda express but my favorite is Honey walnut shrimp.

Well I've started eating a vegetarian diet a couple of months ago, so I've noticed around here at least that places usually only have 1 or 2 vegetarian options, so I just pick what sounds better to me at the time, but I don't get too much variety when eating out

We like to try new things whenever possible. Not just different dishes at familiar restaurants, but different types of restaurants, too. My wife and I consider ourselves "gastronauts".
