Here in Maine it's finally (almost) warm enough to start our regular trips to the ocean! It's one of our favorite things to do together! We went today for the first time with the whole family and though the water was still pretty chilly, we had a great time!

Iowa here, not too many opportunities. Anyway, I love just walking around or sitting and relaxing. That's about all I need to make a trip to the beach enjoyable.

I don't live near the beach, but I do enjoy spending time near the ocean if it's quiet and relaxing. While I don't enjoy swimming in the ocean, I do like to walk barefoot along the edge.

Depends on what beach. Washington beaches tend to be really windy and rocky. They're nothing like the sunny sandy beaches of California.

I chose those activities I would like to do should I have to go to the beach, but I really do not care for the beach. I probably don't like it because I really don't like the sun & the heat.

It depends on the water temperature. I love to explore beaches with big rocks and caves, and check out the seashells and sea life. I also love to swim a bit if it's warm enough!

Florida beaches are awesome the West Coast tend to be better for those who want to swim as the waters are calmer. East Coast is good for fishing and surfing but the waves can get pretty rough

We like to simply relax and watch the kids have a good time. We usually vacation in the Caribbean once a year and that's our beach time.

With my wife just walking or doing naughty things. With my grandchildren building sand castles or swimming I was just their with both over Easter. We have a beach house in the Pacific Northwest and usually go about 6 times per year with a somewhat private beach. When we don't go their we go to the California beach once per month, the California coast is very different than the Oregon coast but we like both.

I'm a huge beach person. It's funny, because everyone I'm related to is either a mountain person, or just not that into the beach at all. Luckily Icy shares my love of it. We plan to go to the beach very soon!

I'm really not a fan of the beach but I do enjoy going fishing. When my girlfriend drags me to the beach, I spend the day under a tree or anywhere I can find some shade.

We go at least six or seven times a year. I like to stroll along the oceanfront, while my husband takes pictures allover the place. And we always stop by a nice fish and chips place for lunch.

sadly, I don't really walk on the beaches down here, because the sand is so FREAKING hot, I have come away with mild burns once. But I love to shade bathe and I swim all the time! I try to go once a month, if not twice so that makes it like 12-14 times a year!

I'm quite surprised to hear you think that the East Coast has rough waves and is good for surfing. Maybe in more southern areas? Here in Maine the ocean is very calm and you CAN'T surf, but you always hear about people surfing in Cali.
