A white fluffy cat named Tom. He was my mom's but was the only pet around while I was a toddler. He was so pretty, had one blue eye and one yellow eye. I used to sing and read books to him (well I thought I was reading), we have some VHS tapes of it lol.

My first pet was a dog named Whiskers. He was a Lhasa apso, his registered name was Whiskey, Wine and Women. I got him for my 16th birthday from my mom and had him for years until he went partially blind and became afraid to go outside by himself. I gave him to a senior who needed a companion pet.

Sure we had lots of family cats that stayed outside all the time, but he was my own pet.

I got a kitten that I named Sox for my third birthday. She was a Calico that lived to be roughly 15 years old.

The first pet my family had was a Shetland Sheepdog puppy named Missy. She was pretty sickly and didn't live long, and our second Sheltie, Lady (registered name Shady Blue Lady), is the first pet I have any real memory of. I grew up with her.

The first pet that was mine and mine alone was a budgie named Rickey. He was awesome. Our time together was pretty short, though, as he got out and flew away after about eight or nine months. He was friendly to people, so I hope someone found him and gave him a good home.

In my life time it was our turtle, who's about 23, and our burmese python, that is about 18. Both are doing well. Turtle is at Mom's, snake at Dad's
