I saw two female grey deer in the front yard today. Anyone have any unusual (not birds, or squirrels) in their yard?

Foxes and groundhogs that live in the back yard (we have a swamp-like area in our yard at the end)

Ducks and swans. But we live near water.

Possums. Large, odd looking possums, with what turned out to be (many!) babies on its back. Example: link (Much creepier when I couldn't figure out what was "moving" on its back.)

Nothing here. Where I grew up though, there were supposedly wolves at night (even though we were in the suburbs with fences and everything), and my family is pretty certain that's what got our poor cats.

We have kangaroos grazing in the backyard every evening. But there's also hares, deers, bandicoots, snakes, massive goannas and dingos from time to time.

Often see possums and the odd echidna when traveling the roads at night.

Nothing today; but there have been BLACK BEARS once or twice in a year. It's rugged here in Washington! It can scare the heck out of me. I have bear spray when I hike or backpack in the wilderness of the Cascades Mountains and, therefore, I am always alert and on guard; but not in my backyard! Never seen a cougar, but I've been told they are out here too. Lots of deer and they don't seem to mind human presence.
