Anyone ever really sleep in WAY later then expected (on a weekend) and NOT feel guilty about it...even if you have TONS to do???

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
After one heck of a busy week, I was awoken by the dog (to go pee) at 5 am (usual wake up time), after that, we both crawled back in bed and JUST got up.....after 11 AM!!! Even on a LAZY weekend day, I MIGHT sleep in to 9 am.

I have a ton of things to do...pay bills, clean house, buy groceries, do take home work...etc, but honestly, I simply NEEDED the sleep, and for once, simply have NO guilt about it.

Do you ever sleep in WAY later then you were planning to, and wake up GUILT FREE??? (I usually feel tossy/turny bad, knowing I have stuff waiting on me).

Yes, I can sleep in as long as I need or want and don't feel guilty.

No, if I sleep in, I feel guilty, because I know I missed a big chunk of the day.

Sometimes..just depends how pressing the stuff waiting for me is.

I never sleep in.

I never wake up early, and always sleep in. No guilt...it's the plan.

I feel guilty whenever I sleep in . . . but I sleep in a lot. I woke up at 11 today, myself, and I have to go to three different stores, I'm going out for lunch, and then I have to come home and do work.

Then again, I work well under pressure.

I don't care how much I have to do, I am happy to sleep until noon on weekends. I wake up at 5am on weekdays so I consider weekends my catch up time. I love my sleep. It's one of my top priorities on weekends.

Yes. When I'm unable to walk my dog when there's clearing in the sky, by the time I'm awake, it's pouring outside and can't go for his walk anymore.

My body says sleep, I don't argue. I get up during the week at 3am, work till 9am and most days take a good two hour nap. On the weekends I sleep until my body says get up... or the rooster decides to crow outside my window.

It is my weekend and I will sleep in if I need to. I usually count on not getting up before noon, that way if I really sleep in nothing is a rush to get done.

I never feel bad if I accidentally oversleep more than I meant to. I figure my body needed the rest.

I generally do not sleep in because I get to bed early enough to make it necessary - refer to 'boring date' in your urban dictionary. My wife on the other hand gets up really early every morning and relishes her additional Sat/Sun sleep time.

I sleep in on my weekends because I work such long hours during the week and the boyfriend and I are both insomniacs so you can imagine how little sleep I get during the week! So we stay up late on the weekends and sleep in! Today we got up "early" which was about 1:30pm but usually are in bed til 4pm or so, and go to run our errands when it's convenient for us. We do our shopping at the 24 hour walmart which helps!

I slept in today and yesterday and felt wonderful about it! I work really hard during the week and know that I owe it to myself to indulge on the weekend.

It gets to the point for me that If I dont catch up on the weekend I never will catch up during the week. And I need to be rested for what I do or Ill seriously mess stuff up.

I used to be able to not feel guilty about sleeping in when I was a high-school student, but now I do feel guilty, even if I don't have anything to do.

I don't feel guilty because I only let myself sleep in when I don't have much planned for the day.

I love sleeping in on weekends! It doesn't happen much these days, but I relish the times that I can keep sleeping without waking up.

I slept until around 3pm this friday and saturday. I almost felt guilty about it, but on the other hand I had been up until at least 5am both of the nights before, so really I slept a normal amount.

Obviously when you have small children in the house there's no such thing as sleeping in. I'm happy if I can sleep past 6am.

Haha, that's how I feel too. I'm up at 6 on the weekdays and while I sneak in a nap before work I still love sleep and happily sleep until noon a lot of weekends.
