Anyone moved into LED Christmas lighting yet?

We finally tired of burned out bulbs and sprung for new lights...all LED. Yahooo...never any more burned out (or super hot) bulbs.

I wonder how many people have made the switch? Have you? (I bet on some of those HUGE displays, it could make a world of difference in the electric bill).

We replaced all our Christmas lights with LED lights in 2009 and are glad we did.

We have used them since they have become available years ago.

Not yet, but I've been considering it.

Good idea, I didn't know they make it already! But why wouldn't they I use a white regular light set as everyday dim light, I can remote control it and also the intensity. But you can't do that with the led lights. I'd consider getting one for the tree only. Or to those places that don't have the RC AC adapter. I used to use a colorful set in the bathroom as lighting when taking a shower, it was fun, dunno where it had gone but I want one there!

We've been gradually switching to LED ones last year, but since a lot of the old strands are still working, we don't want to throw them all away yet.

LEDs are so much nicer! Slowly switching things over. Probably be about three quarters switched by the end of this season.

We buy leds all the time for spaceships and stuff. I love the day after christmas when all the leds go on sale. We have boxes and boxes of leds which were cut off string lights. We use them ALL the time, seriously, its a sickness. Leds are just so bright and pretty.

It is not a sickness. I actually use them for a light bright sort of effect in some of my art work.

I wasn't aware it was such a big deal. I got some LEDs last year, but the wire was too short, so I need to get some more this year.

I think the LED ones are ugly... but so much better for the environment...
