I'll be moving abroad for about five months in January, and I really am not looking forward to the hassle of getting a new phone. I also don't think it's super necessary; I'll be a student and my room mate has a home phone, and I communicate more by email and chat anyway. We used to live in a society where cell phones weren't necessary, so why not?

Anyone else not have a cell phone? Do you ever wish you had one, or are you perfectly fine without it?
