Never tried it. Not sure if I would.

Never tried it

Only if it was amazing furniture or something left on the side of the road.
12/11/2012
No, usually if it's in the trash there is a reason for it.
12/11/2012
On occasion.
12/11/2012
No. I think pulling things out of the dumpster is gross. >.>
12/11/2012
Only if there is is something worth getting out.

If I happened to see a lovely see through briefcase full of money or gold bars maybe. xD
But I have seen some odd stuff in the trash on our block while I was out walking.
Once last summer one of our neighbors had two complete, assembled trombones in their trash that looked in good working order from what I could see as I walked by. 0_o

One time when I was much younger, my mom had thrown away her wallet by accident and it was already taken out the to dumpster. My father had to lift me up inside of the dumpster and I had to dig around for the bag and the wallet. The worst experience of my life! I would never do it unless there was something in there that was valuable or a person in need.

Looks like I'm the only one who will fess up to it. I live in a college town and on graduation weekends, the dumpsters are FILLED with household items and furniture. A lot of times alumni will just set their stuff on the side of the dumpster so other people can take it without physically climbing in. But yes, I've gotten many things dumpster diving on graduation weekends and I don't regret it. If I can get a free clean hide-a-bed couch, then I'm not going to pass it up.

Never done it, though I know people who have.
12/11/2012
I've done it a few times, it's pretty fun.
12/11/2012
I have a few times--commercial dumpsters, primarily. We go to the college town about 100 miles away on finals week and get goodies left out for free though too.
12/11/2012
i've never gone dumpster diving... but if there was a good reason to, i would
12/11/2012
If I see something that looks good I jump right in and check it out. I've carried home a lot of throwaways from jobsites as well.
12/11/2012
does craigslist count?
12/11/2012
I've never done it before, but if it was something super valuable I'd have to.
12/11/2012
I do it all the time. there's a grocery store near me that just throws out packaged frozen goods that reached their sell by date-not the consume by date, just the sell date-, and if I go there at the right time, I can get fifty or sixty dollars worth of still frozen microwave meals and veggies and stuff.
12/11/2012
Never have, but I suppose I would if there was something of value in there.
12/11/2012
I don't, but if there was something valuable in there I would.

Yuck, not me, I even keep my distance from dumpsters!
12/11/2012
Nope, and wouldn't unless there were gold in there or money.

Tehe MsDrProfKitty, you're my favorite dumpster diving partner in crime. But you're the brave one who gets IN the dumpster while I laugh at you.

When I was a kid I dud but I haven't past age 10. But I'm not above doing it, especially for recyclables I can get money for.
