I am very reserved and quiet about things that really matter and bother me. I have a public persona that everyone sees which I use to cover up my deeper feelings. Everyone thinks I am a bubbly, friendly, outgoing, person--but later realize they know nothing much about who I really am, just things that anyone could know or find out. I have had issues with friends because I will not talk to them about my problems but am always there for theirs. Is anyone else like this or am I just...odd?

I'm the exact same way. I started mine as a child as a coping mechanism. I had a terrible home life, so in order to hide it, I would be extra bubbly and outgoing. I have been dubbed the "mother" of the group because everyone knows I will listen and/or give advice whenever needed. Yet, when something is bothering me, I hold it in. I only confide in my boyfriend or my mother.

I tend to wear my emotions, and self, on my sleeve. However, depending on the situation i will be very reserved and private. It usually happens when im places where im uncomfortable, like a large party, and of course at work.
