It's absolutely fine as long as I know about it and he's not going alone. Going with a bunch of guy friends for a fun night is okay. Going alone and not telling people is definitely not okay.

His friends invited me along when they took him to one for his birthday. I was bored to death, and he never liked places that are noisy and full of drunk people. He doesn't care to go back, but I'm okay if he goes with the guys as long as I don't have to go along.

I'm not in a relationship right now so it's not an issue, but if I was in one I think I'd be okay with it if he was going with friends for a bachelor party or a friend's birthday or something, but if he was going by himself all the time I probably would not be okay with it.
