Are you pretty much a "meat with every meal" person? Do you feel healthy?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
I work with some folks who rarely eat meat, and others who have it at every meal, including breakfast (Sausage, Bacon, Steak).

Are you someone who eats MEAT at pretty much every meal? Do you feel HEALTHY? I'm not making the link, but trying to see if the numbers associate in any way.

Thanks

I usually eat meat maybe once a day. Sometimes I'll go a few days without eating it. I would consider myself healthy since I'm average in weight and have no health issues.

same here. If I go too many days without meat of some sort, I feel unsatisfied.

I say other because it really varies. I do notice that if I go a day or two without eating some sort of meat at least once, even if I'm eating other protein sources and lots of good stuff (fruits, veggies, whole grains), I get somewhat dizzy and feel like I'm missing something.

In our house, we follow the mantra, "Everything in moderation."

I love eating meat. But usually only have real meat for dinner and then luchmeats or the sort for lunch. And unless it's bacon or sausage I don't usually eat it at breakfast. Cereal is my go to breakfast. Though, I am considered over weight. And I do have health issues, but none that's reflected by my diet (Migraines, back problems, etc).

I intentionally have a couple of meatless days every week. Meatless Mondays anyone?

We eat meat with most meals but it's not always required. Sometimes we'll just get down with lots of veggies, some fruit and cheese and maybe some almonds or something. We eat a lot of salads too along with little bits of carbs like potatoes, rice and pasta and I'd have to say we're probably the healthiest we've ever been.

We eat meat with every meal... for us if there is no meat it doesn't feel like a meal but more of a snack.

We eat meat with most meals, but we also have tons of veggies with our meals. I LOVE meat!

For dinner or lunch, to feel full/satisfied, I MUST have a meat of some kind.

I've been a strict vegetarian/borderline vegan for about 8 years now. I'm in college but live in my own apartment off campus and make sure to buy fruits, veggies, whole grain breads and pastas..all the good stuff. I'd say overall I'm pretty healthy. My biggest issues are a pretty hardcore caffeine dependency and being tired a lot, but both of those directly relate to being a full time student and active member of several clubs while also working part time.

i dont eat meat at breakfast, but i do at lunch and dinner. thing is, i'm pretty convinced my unhealthiness has to do with all the junk i eat and the lack of exercise lol

we eat some kind of meat with just about every meal. And no one in my family is over weight or unhealthy. It is all about balance.

Yup, it's all about balance; I include both meat and vegetables in our meals.

I don't ever eat meat and I'm kinda healthy. I weigh a healthy amount, but I'm sick a lot due to mental illness. That doesn't have anything to do with what I eat though. lol All my blood tests come back great.

I don't like eating meat. If I eat too much meat, I tend to feel sick. Eating a meat centered dinner a few nights in a row is enough to make me feel like crap for days.

I do not eat meat every day. Though I don't eat well enough to say I eat healthy. I do choose soy options most times. I used to be a vegetarian so it's not a big deal to me. plus meat is too expensive for my budget

I chose other because I eat meat most meals, but not every meal. I think I'm pretty healthy now that I've lost some more weight, but I think I can still get healthier.

It really just depends how accessible the meat is. For example, I pack my lunch for work, which always consists of a drink, a peanut butter & nutella sandwich, and some sort of snack, because it's cheap and easy. That said, if I could afford it (if I weren't in the process of trying to pay off hospital bills and a new car) I'd go out and get a burger or something.
