Are you someone who could use eyeglasses but trains the eyes instead? :D

I have a pair (and indeed, look damned lovely with them), but decided to use them only when I would reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ally need them!

Well, so far there was no situation when I really had to wear them, I guess because my eyes are pretty fine, needing only weak glasses... I ordered a pair of pinhole glasses anyway just for some extra training, and I do believe that there are materials on the net to use for more training (like pictures and stuff), so I guess I should really get to it too, just just just because... ^^

I have a pair of reading glasses but I never got adjusted to them because they gave me headaches so I gave up on them.

I needed glasses for years, but rarely wore them. I felt like my sight was the same with or without them. Then I started developing headaches and eyestrain. It turns out my "good" eye had been overcompensating for my "weak" eye for a long time. I had laser surgery to correct the problem. My eyedoc said I was a prime candidate for a whole host of problems if I didn't either have the surgery or start wearing glasses/contacts.

I'm nearsighted, and while my prescription isn't terrifically strong I wear my glasses almost all the time. I like the way they look, and while my vision is generally good enough to tell what something is from a distance, no amount of training will fix the blurriness or restore the fine detail that my glasses correct (particularly lettering). My understanding is that going without glasses if you truly need them can just make your eyes worse in most cases.

Eye 'training' is possible, but only to a certain extent, and should be done after consultation with a behavioural optometrist. Or get glasses.
