Would you enjoy a community platform that allowed you to showcase your writing?

We were bouncing around some ideas, and at this point I am just looking for some preliminary feedback. However, your feedback and ideas just might turn into something cool here; you never know.

I enjoy writing, and I think it would be neat to have a subsection of the forum for personal works of different kinds, similar to the personal stores.

This would be a nice idea - short erotica, erotic poetry, mainstream poetry, mainstream short fiction, essays, etc. Anyone who wants to try out the first couple of chapters of a novel. Anyone who wants to sharpen their skills before submitting to an actual market. That sort of thing.

I love the idea.

I write suspense, sci-fi, and fantasy stories. I love writing. I have a novel in the works, the prologue was 15,000 words, and split up into 4 chapters. Its different...

I like writing some poetry, free flowing though. I personally do not like restricting my self with syllables and line structuring.

If EF happens to go forth with this, I hope that we do not limit the content we accept to strictly erotica and romance. I think other genres have there place.

I am very interested, and if you need my help, I am here. I'd be glad to help in any way possible. If that is submitting something or something, then count me in

I also love reading stories from others

I find it intriguing what other people can come up with in their heads

I write every day. I absolutely love it whether it's for leisure or for school. I know I'm a freak in that right lol. I write poetry, personal blogs, political and social journal articles, research study type papers, etc on a weekly basis.

If the platform is like what I suggested months ago, I would love that as well. I think it would be great to have a place to write. Your message was a bit vague though. On site mini-blogs?

I do enjoy writing, everything from poetry to short stories to entire novels. I write a whole lot of things, so yes, I would love to have my works showcased. Sounds good to me!

I write all the time, and have since the 6th grade. I have all my old notebooks from way back then, and man it's fun to go back and reminisce! lol. It's a complete stress reliever to me.

I love to write. I have graphorhea.

For me, it's easier if I have something concrete to write about as opposed to just having to think of anything. Witness about 15 half finished novels and novellas. If I have an "assignment" I do better.

I write. It's what I do.

I write screenplays, poems, short stories, I have a few novels floating around in my head. If I wrote on the platform, though, it would be mostly erotica or silly stuff. No one sees my serious stuff before it's done, and I mean NO ONE.

I do believe, however, that I promised to write a HP slash fic for a certain Splendwhore at some point Would that count?

I have like a million ideas floating around in my mind. All the-o-times I get these Ideas for stories, but never write them down. I think them out in my head....maybe I am strange.. or lazy...hope its laziness and not strangeness.

Well then yes. Generally and specifically...I LOVE to write .

The only thing I don't like writing is data analysis...boring lol. But the research is fun

Writing is the way I process thoughts I didn't even know I had.

I used to be SUCH a fanfiction . net and fictionpress bum! I would keep gaining and losing followers due to my irregular update schedule, though. I think it would be really cool for those of us who like to write for fun to have a place on Eden to share our stories and other scribbly bits. I don't know if a blog format would work though... * ponders *

One fan forum I used to go to had a sub-forum just for fiction; a new story would get a new thread, unless it was something like 'spamfic/drabble scenes' or 'community-written fanfic', then it was sort of a 'free-for-all' thread.

So it went something like ...

I love writing. It's what I do. Most of my work is in analytical and theory-based academia. But I also love applying my analytical tools to modern society / pop culture just for fun (and awareness-raising).

I don't see a point in mini-blogs personally since so many people here already have sex blogs. BUt that's just me.

As for the writing thing, I might check in on it once in awhile, but I write at least 4000 words every day between articles for a couple sites, EF reviews and forum posts, and Kinky World reviews, so I'm worded out. Plus, to be honest, if I was going to write something erotically-based or has to do with sex, I'd probably submit it to one of the places I write for (including EdenCafe )

I woyuld love a place where we could showcase our writing but I wonder if we would be allowed free expression. We are such a diverse community that I would be afraid of the backlash should someone get offended. That and I'm afraid of the criticism

That is a good point. I would definitely expect to criticized for my writing as well. That being said, depending on the setup and format, that could be taken into consideration.

This is why getting feedback from all of you is so valuable! Keep your thoughts and ideas coming!

I write, erotica from my Domme side and self help articles from my vanilla side. I would enjoy an area to post my work around here.
