Not anime just because I don't really care for it, but movies and books, definitely--don't even need a visual for some characters. It is a sad, sad, sexually frustrating thing (for me at least)...

I haven't watched much anime, in part because some shows have uncomfortably hypersexualized characters, at least for my taste. I'd probably make out with Howl from Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle movie, though. Dude had a great femme fashion sense.

I've had character crushes, sorta imagined what they'd look like as a real guy. In anime form I don't guess you'd said they turned me on.
I always thought that Darien from Sailor Moon, Vegeta from DBZ, and Sesshomaru from Inuyasha were cute/handsome for drawn figures. But, mostly, I think their personalities made me wish they were real...not the drawings themselves.
