We've all had them.

I'll start with mine. Just today, I went to get my haircut. First mistake? Going on a whim instead of scheduling ahead of time. Got stuck with the new girl, who clearly didn't know how to do what I wanted. Even though I brought in a picture. A very clear picture. But, of course with my luck, instead of telling me this she just chopped away. I now look like if Alice Cullen were a grandmother. This displeases me.

First time I decided to try to cut my own bangs. That pretty much covers it right there. Lol. I made the mistake of cutting them while my hair was wet, which led to me cutting to short. I ended up having to go farther back to try to cover up how bad it was. In the end almost half my head seemed to be bangs alone. Sadly though that's not even my worst hair experience, it gets much worse if you go into hair dye accidents. I've pretty much done it all when it comes to hair, or at least everything except shaving it.

I went to a spa to get a haircut...bad mistake. She colored my hair beautifully, wouldn't let me tell her what I wanted, snipped what amounted to fuzz off the ends of my hair. When she dried it and styled it she realized it looked like shit but she has wasted so long getting it colored that the place was closing...then decided to offer me a free eyebrow waxing. I do my own eyebrows because she was the idiot who plucked them so heavily that I looked permenantly surprised for three months. NEVER AGAIN!
She thought my hair looked SO CUTE and age appropriate! I looked like I was a grandmother and my hair was fried from the color. I looked like all the stereotypical witch pictures...and I was visiting Arch, and was 6 months pregnant!
It was a mess.

I went to a salon, gave her a picture of what I wanted, and ended up with boy-short hair. My hair was only supposed to go to my shoulders.

Yup, that never fails. I'm letting mine grow out, so I only go to see my regular guy every 5 months or so for a trim. I've gotten urges to try something new, and usually stop myself at the last minute.

Well my worst haircut was when I got my hair cut before my high school boyfriend's winter formal. I went in and had a picture, it was a short haircut, but kind of punky and fun. She gave me a really poufy "grandma" haircut that was almost a mullet. I was freaking out saying I wasn't going to go to the winter formal and my boyfriend drove me home crying the whole way..pointed me to my mom and said "she is saying she won't go tonight, please fix her, I have to go get ready..I'll be back in two hours PLEASE fix her!!" and my mom had to cut off the mullet back and then helped me tame the poof into something that I actually really liked.

The worst hair experience ever though was my Wedding Day. I had a stylist who I had been going to for years, she was awesome and we had plans for doing my hair for my wedding. We both had been looking forward to it for so long since we had become good friends over the years of her doing my hair. Well, morning of my Wedding I get a call from the Salon..they told me she had been rushed to the ER for an emergency Appendectomy. So, they said not to worry that they'd have another stylist do my hair. I get there and it's the one stylist there that I did not like..she had ruined my hair once before and was so scared. She kept sitting there the whole time telling me that the style I wanted wasn't going to work (though I already had done a test run with my stylist and we knew it would) and that this was a horrible day to get married because it was so humid out and that there was no way my hair would be anything but a flat sticky mess by the wedding. I was almost in tears the whole time and my mom had to ask her to PLEASE stop talking to me that way and to just do the hair in silence. It did finally come out nicely and we put so much anti-humidity hairspray on that it actually looked awesome the entire day.

Third grade picture day.

Bowls and scissors should NEVER be used around children!!! It's right up there with mullets in relation to child abuse! The bowl haircut is hideous; I don't care that it was the 1980's, it was still fucking hideous to do to a child who isn't pretty to begin with. I burn every picture of that time I can find (and my mother seems to have a hell of a lot of them tucked all over the place).

I was 16 and felt the need for a change, wanted to but my hair a little shorter then shoulder length. We went to great clips or something like that and they did a great job, till they got to my bangs. See I have curly hair, so you always should cut it longer then you need since you can take more, but never put back. I don't know if they never noticed the mass amounts of curly hair she'd already removed when she got to my bangs or what, but she cut them to my brow line...wet. So they dried and curled up horribly short. She finished and showed me the mirror and I started to cry. I looked so stupid! I refused to pay or tip her, my hair was okay, but the bangs ruined it, and that's the first part anyone sees! They apologized and offered me a coupon for next time, I told them "there wouldn't be a next time!"

It wasn't till recently that I moved away from my home state and family that I've been forced to trust someone other then my mother with scissors. I brought in a picture, told them I had curly hair, so I'd rather they cut twice or leave it longer. The women was older, but clearly had short straight hair. Thankfully she understood and even helped by showing me how to style it. I'm a lazy girl, I spent 10+ wear it only in a braid everyday to get it out of my face, so I had no clue how to use gel or other products. I'm enjoying a more mature style and hope I get over my fear of salons.

I've never had a haircut I hated, but I've had some bad dye jobs where I ended up with an orange or greenish colour. Luckily it's pretty easy to fix that compared to waiting months for a haircut to grow out, so I guess I've been lucky.

Permanently surprised, lol. Wow, that sucks.

I used to get my hair cut by my mom, and everytime I ended up crying bcs I have very thick hair that used to be hard to manage. Ever since I joined hairdressing school and worked in hairdressing my openness to new hair styles blossomed and I got skills to style my hair so even if I hated my cut or what not, I always would and will be able to make it work regardless.

My entire life. One after another. I love and cherish my bad haircuts, from shaved head to mohawk to really, really, really atrocious permanent wave. Not even kidding. I genuinely like making a mess out of my hair.

When I was probably 9 or 10 my mom took me to my aunt to cut my hair. I actually didn't want my hair cut at all but my mom said I had to so she told my aunt to take off 2 inches. I guess maybe my aunt didn't understand or something because her English had never been very good and she ended up cutting it all the way to my chin (it had been about halfway down my back). I was so upset that I spent the whole 4 hour car ride home crying.

I had 'the bowl' look when I was 14. It's in one of the few professional family photos my parents have, though thankfully it's not on the wall any longer...

When i was little I had a very bad habit of cutting my own hair into a bunch of zigzags. It was funny and horrifying to my family all at once, and they did everything they could to keep me from getting a hold of any and all scissors.

Needless to say there was a reason afterward why people couldn't tell if I was a boy or girl (really really short hair to keep me from doing it anymore).

Once I cut my hair too short, and the hair that fell behind my ears started to curl with gravity. For several months after, I had bothersome stray curling hairs in my eyes and face, making me sneeze often.
