Bahama Mama at Two in the Afternoon

I do that in the summer, on holidays. I usually wait until after noon. I crack a cold beer and say "it is 5 oclock somewhere"

I very rarely drink during the week. I am a weekend warrior and it is normally after dinner.

Anytime I start drinking before 7 I start to feel like I'm drinking too early. But honestly, if there's no other obligations for the day and it's not a regular occurrence, I don't really have a problem with it, and I think champagne is the only thing I've ever had before noon.

I hate having to mix drinks myself, especially after a few drinks, then I start to mess it all up, lol. I usually go for the wine, only if it's sweet, and if it happens to be made from/contain fruit, even better.

Those are pretty drinks, but I don't drink alcohol. It makes me morose and triggers migraines. I've never been able to get down enough to even come close to being drunk.

Last New Year's Day (we went to bed about 5 minutes after 12:00 New Year's Eve) I had one small glass of champagne, I got crabby and fell asleep for about 2 hours. I woke up feeling like I had had sucked on one of My Man's socks. UG. I couldn't wait to go to bed that night.

No. Alcohol is not for me.

My Man, OTOH, thinks "double digit morning" (meaning after 10:00 AM) is close enough to afternoon to have a beer on a day off or a weekend day.

Occasionally I'll have a drink in the afternoon and I don't think it's too early...unless it becomes a habit, I guess. I like beer, whiskey, fruity stuff, whatever really. I'm flexible. I'm not really a wine drinker though. I don't drink that often so when I do I like to have something that I really enjoy. Lately, when I get the urge for a drink, my go-to has been Wild Turkey American Honey. It's amazing and it seems like a good winter time drink to me.

In the summer, when it's hot and the kids are playing in the pool outside, I LOVE to crack open a beer with a girlfriend and chat while our kids play. I don't care if it's 10, 12, or 5 as long as it's only a beer or two and it's hotter than Hades.

I love to drink a beer or have a mixed drink on occasion, but usually not until dinner time. It's not like I think there's anything wrong with it, it's just not my preference to drink during the day. Though the kids make me wonder why I don't quite often.

Oh, and drinks mixed with Gin are my fave.

I'm with the others on summertime drinks in the afternoon. Other than that I prefer to drink after dinner when there is food in my tummy to absorb it. I like fruity drinks.

I usually don't ever drink but when I feel like kicking back, I pour up my favorite and have a glass. my one Bahama mama, stayed just one. =)

Where I grew up, a Bahama Mama was a type of spicy sausage. Needless to say, I was very curious when I opened this thread to see what you were doing with a sausage at two in the afternoon. I was quite pleased to learn that a Bahama Mama is also a drink

Bahama Mamas are tasty, but I think I'm finally over drinking. I just don't do it anymore.

If all my responsibilities are taken care of, time is irrelevant. Usually beer, but if I were to have my choice it would be gin and cranberry.

I like Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum with Gingerale/club soda.
