What are some of your favorite/most useful cooking and baking tips?

Mine is that you can add a piece of bread to a container of cookies and the cookies will soften! Great for if you over-bake a little.

Get a in-oven thermometer because your settings probably lie.

Also, replace cream products with greek yogurt for less fat content

Didn't know that. I do put an apple wedge in brown sugar to keep it soft.

Line the measuring cup with plastic wrap when measuring sticky/thick substances like peanut butter or molasses. Easy clean up.

If using sheet pans that you cook other foods on (like fries or breaded chicken tenders), line it with baking parchment so that the cookies don't take on the odd taste that scrubbing can't get rid of. It also keeps the cookies from sticking.
