Oh if only there was I'd do it in a heart beat! But unfortunately I don't think that there is.

There is just one person.... and I suspect this person has maybe created a second account to post even more crap. All the good discussions get pushed down when they post all this junk.

I hope this gets taken care of, It is getting to the place were I do not like having to scroll through all pointless crap.

If there was a way I would use it.

I have the same suspicions..it just seems too coincidental that a new one has sprouted up doing the same exact thing.

It has gotten to the point that I don't like visiting the forums at night. During the day it looks like the spammers are away and it's pretty good..then at night it's like wham post! post! post! and it's all pointless...

As someone mentioned in one of her posts: It's all for points.

I suggested a new feature to ignore a thread or ignore a user in a previous topic. I desperately want this. I just want to scream when I see ten new threads about mostly trivial stuff one right after the other.

Until we have ignore capability, I wish people would stop responding to those posts at all so they drop down out of view faster.

Today its reached such a level that I'm considering just not visiting the forum page again.

Today the user seems to have gone back and resurected some of her posts that hadn't been answered. Really enough is enough, and it's not just the forums..I suspect shadiness all around..and I commented as such on a review and now I have her going through and voting my reviews as "not useful at all", I mean come on...really? That's a bit immature. I'm just really fed up with the childishness.

I saw the comment that you posted on her review. I thought that was pretty funny, but I didn't see her reply until now. I can't believe that she went through some of your reviews and voted low just for spite.

The threads don't even make sense. I don't know if she is typing so quickly that she forgets to type some words or what, but sometimes I have to read them 4 or 5 times just to figure out what she is talking about.

I want an ignore button as well. Valve did good in making a Mute Player button, now I want it for this, haha.

Also, so many threads being necroed just for vote points...

That's way out of line and hopefully admin will step in...as we know, they're already 'on to' her antics, but deciding how to deal with it.

I personally, am no longer responding so that at least the threads get pushed down.

Yeah, it's certainly overposting. I've replied to some of this person's posts and I'll avoid the ones I deem as repetitive or other. I don't want to devalue the importance of anyone's posts, but this appears to be abuse.

I start a new discussion, what? Maybe once a week, if even that?

Gah, I just replied to one. But I felt it needed to be done because it was blatantly obvious. I start my fair share of discussions but I don't think the frequency has changed at all with Eden Points, and I'd hope that others would find the things that I post at least worth being here.

Hello everyone!

My, this has taken a rather nasty turn, hasn't it? I'm sad to see that someone has resorted to downvoting as retaliation. We are definitely investigating this situation and we are taking action. Can I get a favor from everyone here? Will you please contact me and give me links and details regarding these offenses? I want everything from links to reviews where the deliberate downvoting has taken place to inappropriate threads. I would greatly appreciate everyone's help in getting this all together so we can take care of this situation ASAP.

Thanks!

Hi Kristi,

Thank you for specifically addressing the recent issues.

For clarification, when you ask for inappropriate threads, do you want us to inform you of forum threads we think are stupid/repetitive and simply for the purpose of point farming? If so, that's potentially 7-8 threads a day from 2+ people daily. I just want to be sure before I start sending you messages. Thanks.

Thanks Kristi!

The over posting was bad enough, but being nasty and downvoting is a whole new level. Thanks for being awesome!

Hi, Kindred:

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner--it's all busy, busy, busy over here. lol But I wanted to let you know that I believe I have all that I need. However, if you feel there is something that I really need to see, then by all means send it my way.

One minute separation times. Doesn't exactly imply an honest/thoughtful response is actually expected.

I think I'd like a block or ignore feature too. What's the record for most reviews and discussion posts in one day? Ugh.

I've already reported the spammer(s). Pretty sure they should be gone soon because I know they've been talked to and still seem to be spamming. It is getting annoying with all the threads being pushed down. We definitely need a block feature.

I will admit, it's a little troublesome to see 11 reviews go up in one day (literally, I counted today) and have each of them say virtually nothing about the product that even indicates the author has ever seen it, much less used it. It's an abuse of the points system, and while 98% of the rest of us contributing fairly and reaping modest rewards proportionate to what we do, there are disingenuous people that are dishonestly earning about $5.50 a day on phony reviews. Factor in dozens of sentence long posts and oodles of other abuses, and you can get $10 a day easily, or $70 a week, and that's not chump change.

It's really discouraging for the rest of us to watch this, but even more so than just feeling that it's wrong, it clogs up the forums and the reviews with junk. The reviews are supposed to help customers make informed choices about products, and none of these spam reviews going up are doing that. The forum is supposed to facilitate meaningful and relevant discussions and answer genuine questions, and none of these forum posts are doing that.

For a while I've been biting my tongue, but it's really starting to be upsetting for a lot of people. Kristi, I don't know if this is a problem that you alone would be able to fix although I think we're all really, really grateful that you are working so hard for us. I think maybe the other EF admins might need to also moderate this somehow, because it's getting a little silly.

I completely agree with the 2nd paragraph of Sex, Lies & Law's post.

(That's not to say that I don't support the 1st or 3rd paragraphs, I just haven't looked at other people's activity that closely, but I agree that there is fishiness.)

Wow, I didn't see it going this far. This is far more than abusing the website, I think it's gone far enough to say it's stealing with something like this.

Yesterday I counted 21 discussions in one hour! I know there is only so many points a day, but that is just crazy.

LMAO I wish they had this. For me it is easy to ignore since I have had a lot of practice doing this elsewhere, but it still would be nice to have blocking features in general. Not from voting on reviews, because that wouldn't really be fair, but blocking in terms of messaging and making things invisible. I would imagine it would take tons of programming as I was told months and months ago when I requested this. Hopefully, it can be worked on eventually.
