Well today my mom (after I told her I was going to try and learn from youtube and she told me not to buy anything cause she has a whole box of hooks at home) stopped in with a ball of yarn and a hook for me.

I sat down at 930 with the lappy and my hook ready to go.

I have a little patch of crochet made so far! It is nothing. Just practice of course. But YAY!

Thank you to my lovelies who suggested learning off youtube. SO easy watching a video.

I will post a pic tomorrow.

Good for you! I feel like its a dying art form. I love crochet, even though the only thing I've successfully made is a scarf. BUT it's a staple of my wardrobe now.

I remember finding a pattern for a uterus shaped divacup bag, but I can't find it anymore. Frustrating because I want/need one now.

This reminds me of when my friend had come over to keep me company and we were both knitting - I was making socks and she was making a scarf. Her scarf kept rolling up on the edges, making it rather cylindrical... and then we started coming up with variations of "cock cozy"...

Youll be doing it in no time. really. I just learned 2 days ago and yesterday I bought fancy yarn and am making some fingerless mitts for my daughter.
